Labuschagne Dropped from Australia's ODI Team to Face Team India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-match ODI series against India, as high-performing Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw receiving a surprise inclusion.
Recent Form Result in Omission
Labuschagne has been omitted from the one-day international squad following scoring just one run in his two batting efforts during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a best innings of 47 in his most recent ten ODI batting appearances.
Labuschagne has played 68 one-day internationals and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64, but will now focus on earning a Test recall ahead of the Ashes beginning in Perth on 21 November.
Renshaw's Return and Team Changes
Recent performances suggest of a resurgence with a score of 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw scored a century for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.
Renshaw could to make his first white-ball appearance in the forthcoming series against India after his last inclusion in an ODI squad in 2022.

Australia have announced a squad for only the first two T20s against India with the Ashes on the horizon, although Glenn Maxwell will be absent for the five-game T20 series due to a wrist problem sustained in New Zealand.
Mitch Marsh will captain both the ODI and T20 teams after hitting a ton in the final game against New Zealand to clinch a 2-0 series win last week.
“Selectors have announced a squad for the ODI series and first two games of the T20 series as there will be rotation through the back end of the series as players get ready for the cricket season through Sheffield Shield cricket,” selection chief George Bailey said.
“The bulk of the T20 squad will stay as a group as it’s an crucial phase in the build towards the T20 World Cup next year, however we are aiming to find equilibrium to ensure we simultaneously prepare certain individuals for the Test matches ahead.”
Australia’s three-match ODI series against India starts on October 19 in Perth, before the rivals play five T20s from 29 October.
